Making inferences


Introduction
An inference is a kind of guess. To infer, you use what you already know about something to try to guess more about it. In everyday life, you often make inferences.
ACTIVITY ONE
How does she/he feel?
 
I came to China for the first time. I  traveled to Beijing, climbed to the Great Wall,walked down the Forbbiden city’s road. And then, I went to Anhui as an English teacher in AHU.
I meet a lot of new friends there.
My son got a full score in Mid-term paper.
But one week later, I found that he get this good grade bycopying his deskmates’ paper
I have to get up very early to send milk to every family in this community.
I did a lot but the salary is still too little.

People are crowded in the entrance to a toy store.

The store is the only toy store in the whole community.
The store has paid a crowd to show up.
The store has a big sale.
Inside a car with an out-of-state license are several maps, suitcases, and bags of snacks.
Guess
The driver of the car is on vacation.
The dirver of the car is on a business trip.
The driver of the car has children.
